Client Engineering Manager (f/m/d)
The Client Engineering Manager will join and lead one of our existing game teams. This role will be managing and training a small team of developers.
The Client Engineering Manager will join and lead one of our existing game teams. This role will be managing a small team of developers day-to-day and will be part of the broader cross-functional team. Through managing and mentoring, you will use your experience to up-skill the existing developers and ensure they can perform their roles and tasks. You will also help with our weekly sprint cycles to keep us agile and our development lean as we focus on releasing quality content for this growing game.
- Day to day management of team of engineers
- Help to train, develop and mentor the team
- Direct the work of the engineers to ensure they follow best practices around software development within the team
- Provide leadership in a fast-paced and agile team with short release cycles ensuring pragmatic decisions are taken
- Manage project schedules and give time estimations for new feature development
- Identify possible technical issues within the project and communicate them clearly to the project stakeholders
- Work closely with the product management team and be responsible for the overall planning, actioning and success of the project, from a technical perspective
- Ensure maintainability, scalability and quality within the code base of the project
- Previous experience managing a team with the ability to run one on ones, appraisals and also inspire the team
- Must be proactive, self-directed and organized
- Wide understanding of different game technology areas (gameplay, graphics, tools etc.)
- Awareness of and ability to leverage industry best practices and solutions and able to apply the right solution for a given problem
- Agile development experience with the ability to stick to tight deadlines
- Games industry experience
- Unity development experience
